Who Says So?

Chance are, we can identify an existing client similar to you. At the proper point in the evaluation process, we will be happy to provide such references.

Union Products International, Inc.
   ALERE Manufacturing (formerly TIW Workshop)

W e like to “keep it simple.” That statement, spoken by Pam Reed, Vice President of Operations for Cromwell, Indiana based Union Products International, Inc. aptly sum up the whole experience that is Union Products: simple, frugal and effective.

The company manages hundreds of BOMs, but carefully. The result is an efficient manufacturing operation, from orders to routing and from bills of material to production,
that has resulted in ontime accuracy of “between 98% and 100% — at least that’s what the customers tell us,” says Reed. “We win a lot of awards for that,” she adds modestly.

Alpha Systems, Inc.
   E-Z WMS Warehouse Management System

Alpha Systems, Inc. is headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, with several production and distribution locations. The firm was looking for a cost-effective but robust Warehouse Management System to help better expedite shipping, tracking and reporting, hoping to improve delivery speed (with less staff) even as client demands for shipping faster increased. Prior to their implementation of E-Z WMS warehouse staff carried printed pick tickets to pull orders, hand-writing notes as they went. Significant discrepancies would occur between production (what we made) and fulfillment (what we shipped). Year-end inventory was a troubling challenge, with unknown variances and results until a physical was taken. Accounting often did not match up well with production in reporting.

To see how Alpha Systems turned around these and other problems, increasing delivery capacity by over 25% with fewer warehouse staff and creating smooth, predictable year-end reconciliation's using our E-Z WMS, read our Alpha Systems Case Study

Rollpak, Inc.

E-Z WMS Warehouse Management System

Rollpak Inc.’s Goshen, IN plant is a manufacturer of institutional can liners, supplying non-consumer based business trash can liners for all types of applications. At PSSI, our relationship with Rollpak extends back many years since we first helped them automate their accounting system in the 1990’s.  Most recently, their deployment of our E-Z WMS Warehouse Management System is merely their latest step in increasing competitive advantage through the intelligent application of software and technology.

Rollpak General Manager Alan Wyne was instrumental in the deployment of the firm’s warehouse management system, which became the first (of several) commercial deployments of what is now the E-Z WMS.  Today, he notes, “EZ-WMS has virtually eliminated our mis-shipments.  The discipline required by the system in picking, packing and shipping makes the process faster and provides a much higher degree of accuracy than was possible prior to the deployment... E-Z WMS enabled Rollpak to run its business with as few as one-sixth the number of employees our competition uses."

MAS 90 Implementation

Christian Light Bookstores, based in Nappanee, Indiana, owns a chain of bookstores in the eastern United States. The company had been using an IBM System/38 for many years. The hardware was unsupported and the custom software was supported by a two person VAR. CLB was fearful of the consequences should their system crash. As a non-profit organization, the cost justification of a new system was critical. After a lengthy study of alternatives, Christian Light put their faith in MAS 90 from Sage Software and the services of PSSI.

Why Choose PSSI?

Length of client relationships

At the heart of our business philosophy is the fundamental belief that we build our business one client at a time, and that the longevity of those client relationships is a key indicator of ‘how we’re doing’ with our customers…

A review of every single client with whom we did business last year reveals that the median length of time a client had been a customer (half more, half less) was 7 years.  Some had been clients for as long as 20 years.

Staff experience

The key to successful client business software solutions is the experience of the team doing that work…

Our Team averages 12 years of experience each with our products.  We know of no industry firm in the nation that can boast of that level or depth of experience.

Outstanding industry, peer group and business credentials

It’s all aimed at building trust…

The many honors accorded to our firm over the past twenty years from both the local business community and the national trade press [view examples here] speaks to our firm’s success in the marketplace, to our methods of doing business by caring for both employees and customers, and to the collective trust we have engendered among our various stakeholders.

Proven implementation processes & methodologies

In the complex business of implementing the various components of an ERP system (accounting, manufacturing, CRM, warehouse management) nothing helps more than using proven methods to drive implementation success…

PSSI has developed detailed, written “Road maps” for each phase of our business system process: from initial proposal, to sales process and client binders, through system implementation checklists, modification procedures, even billing procedures… our process is mapped in detail to best define expectations and match project steps with procedures and billings.

Providing both “out-of-the-box” and highly customized solutions

While many of our offerings come from the business management software industry’s leading providers (Sage Software, Microsoft Corporation, TIW Corporation), we specialize in customizing those off-the-shelf solutions to our clients’ needs…

By offering the potential for highly customized solutions when requested, we can improve the roles of our clients' staff by providing specialized software solutions to otherwise time-consuming and repetitive business problems.  And by mapping our software to your unique requirements, we help clients improve their gross margins by building-in their own competitive advantages into their business systems and procedures.  Finally, by doing so, we empower our clients to become more self-reliant, with the necessary training to maximize the productivity you achieve from your system.

Small enough to be flexible, big enough to be reliable

Small companies compete against the giants every day by being nimble and responsive.  Often, not being a large company has its advantages too…

At PSSI, a person always answers the phone.  Voice mail is used only after hours and for messaging.  The company culture is to return all client calls as quickly as possible, and always to answer the phone within two rings.  We don’t get it right 100% of the time, but we’re close.  And our depth of staff experience and client relationships (see Competitive Advantage Nos. 1 & 2) ensure that our responses are reliable, and that a knowledgeable staff member will stay with you until your issue is resolved.
